We went to our 2nd Durham Bulls game on Friday with the Cary Jaycees. It was a great evening for a ball game. At the end of the game we stayed for the fireworks. We went down a little early and grabbed a pizza at The Mellow Mushroom. It is just one of the various restaraunts at the newly converted American Tobacco District. It is a great place. Durham has done a terrific job of converting their old industry into new hot spots. There are 2 huge warehouses, one right next to the stadium and one about 8 blocks away. They have been refurbished with an urban feel and have many shops, restaraunts, and businesses. Both locations have a "central area" where they put on free concerts every Friday. After the game we drove around the Duke campus. It was really cool. You can see the famous chapel in the pics. We really like Durham. Lots to do.
On Thursday evening Jamie had to work at the grand opening for Lifetime Fitness (it wasn't open for exercise until Fri. morning, Thursday was just a preview). I took the boys there and it was crazy. As soon as I turned on the street where the facility is located I saw cops directing traffic. It was pure insanity, I couldn't believe all the people. The facility was amazing. I can't even describe it, but it is huge, elegant, state of the art, and has everything you could want. The boys love the child center and it's playscape and gym (and of course, they love the pool). We were going to go to the outdoor pool today after Owen's game, but it is raining and is supposed to all day. I don't think we are going to make it to the game or to the pool.

I bet Justi can't wait to go to work with you & I would of loved to see the look on Shaun's face when he turned the corner to see all the traffic, people & the police just to go see his wife at work & the new building.
