What a weekend!

The title says it all. Busy, busy, busy. On Friday, we went to see Owen's art on display ath the Halle Cultural Arts center. His art was chosen to be on display along with several other kids in his school. He was only 1 of 2 in his grade. On Saturday, we were up early for a hard skate, then it was off to Justin's game. His team dominated and he contributed by scoring 2 goals and playing some solid defense. Sunday was the day that all former hockey players dream of. It was Owen's first ice hockey game...& he didn't disapoint. On the first shift, he did exactly what his coach (me) is always telling him. He crashed the net, scooped up the rebound, & put in the first goal of the season. It was a back & forth game. We were down 6 to 5 with a minute and a half to go & Owen rang one of the post. We ended up losing a tough game 7-5. Tomorrow's a big day...Justin turns 8.
