Round 2

We had our 1st play off game tonight and won 4-2. We now advance to the 2nd round where we have to face the Red Wings. I forgot to mention on the last post that the boys each had a goal and an assist in the last game (Justin's 1st). Neither one of them scored tonight, but Owen rang one off of the post when we were tied 2-2. Solid goal tending and a couple late goals put us on top. In the video below, Owen is # 12 with the black helmet and Justin is #2 with the white helmet.

Seasons Greetings!

Well, it's been a while since our last post, and, as usual, it seems like we have been really busy. The boys have been really busy with hockey, sleepovers, playing with friends, going to parades and being in parades. Some of the pictures are from a couple of weeks ago from a sleepover, Thanksgiving, and the Raleigh Christmas parade. Last weekend we went to the IMAX to see A Christmas Carol, the animation is unreal. Afterwards we went to eat downtown and sat next to Russel Wilson. Just in case you don't know who he is (I didn't), he is the quarterback for NC State. That day had had a great game and upset their rivals UNC. Yesterday the boys and I were in the Apex parade. We all skated with the hockey team. It was pretty cool and the boys thought it was really cool skating in front of all of the spectators (especially Owen). Well, I think that's about it for now.

Mountain Trip

We had a great weekend of fun, food & friends. We spent the weekend up at the mountains with some friends from Apex and our other friends from Pittsburgh also drove over. As you can see by the pics, we had a great weekend. The weather was perfect with with Carolina blue skies, warm days and cold nights (perfect for campfires). We even had a Thanksgiving feast on Saturday. We had a cabin at the top of the mountain with a perfect view. Although we were a little late for the colors, the views were spectacular. The cabin was really unique. It was huge...it slept 16 and had 7 bathrooms. The kids thought it was great because it had a bunk bed room where they all could sleep. This weekend concludes our busy track out and the boys are back to school tomorrow.
