Back to our routine!

Well, it took a few days to recuperate from our trip to MI, but we are now back in full swing. It has been an eventful week. On Tuesday, Owen & his buddy put on a free concert (see video). On Thursday evening we went to the Koka Booth Amphitheatre for there outdoor movie series to watch Gremlins. On Friday, Jamie had her last day of work, Owen had his last day of 1st grade & Justin had his last day of Vacation Bible School. On Justin’s last day they had a little performance, as you can see from the video, he still doesn’t like a crowd. However, at a small venue, that personality changes. Friday night we went over some friends and played Rock Band on the Xbox. Justin was on Bass, Owen on Guitar, Izzy singing, and yours truly on the drums. We tore it up. We should be going on tour in the fall so watch for dates in your area. Yesterday the boys had a stellar finish to their baseball seasons and then we were back on the boat. The lake was tough that day, with several extreme wipeouts on the tube and the wakeboard. I added a couple of my wipeouts on the video. I hope you enjoy a good laugh at my expense. We stayed out on the lake until dark and it was a gorgeous evening on the lake. Today we are just going to chill out and get some school supplies. Only 1 week until Owen starts 2nd grade and Justin starts kindergarten.

Staying Cooooool!

Things are heating up. The past couple days we have had some record highs and today was supposed to be 102. So, we spend the weekend trying to stay cool. Friday evening we met some friends at the pool and spent the evening swimming. Yesterday, we had some baseball games in the morning, a b-day party in the afternoon (it was outside and hotter than sin), and then we went over a friends house and the kids played and the adults played some games. We stayed pretty late and the kids played all night and had a blast. At about 10 o'clock the kids came down stairs and they all had marker all over their faces, like face painting. Guess who initiated that? Today we went on the boat again. We spent alot of time in the water and also did some tubing & wakeboarding. According to the temperature guage on the boat, the water was 94 degrees. Now we are just relaxin in the a/c. We are looking forward to our visit to MI for some cooler weather.

Permanent Vacation

Another great weekend in the books. Friday, Jamie went to the show to see Sex & The City with some of her friends. Me and a couple of other dads took the kids to a baseball game but we couldn't see because they covered the outfield fence because it was the college world series regionals. We just went and got an ice cream and came back to the house. We (the adults) played some guitar hero, while the kids formed a real band. Yesterday we hung out at the pool and then Jamie & I went out with some friends to watch the wings game. Today we went out on our friends boat again. I was working on perfecting my wakeboarding skills today. I got back and forth over the wake several times and even pulled a 180. Then I was too tired to go anymore. Check out the picture of the bird nest. You can't really get the perception from the pics, but the nests are huge, and I really mean huge. We think they are bald eagle nests.
