'Cause you are the wind beneath my wings...

Did you ever know that you're my hero, and everything I would like to be? I could fly higher than an eagle, for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Check out this really cool picture of this bald eagle. We were sitting around on the deck this morning and it was flying right over our house. It was amazing. It is not often I get to reference my favorite recording artist, Bette Midler, so I thought it was only appropriate to add her lyrics to this picture.

I also thought I'd add a picture of my hot wife and sis-n-law. Hope you enjoy it.

Take care,

Shaun

Take me out to the ball game!

Sunday - we headed out to Winston-Salem to see Shaun's second cousin pitch for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He pitched the first 6 innings, unfortunately they lost 3-2 against NC State. We sat next to a bunch of scouts. Owen and I were admiring one of the scouts World Series Ring from the St. Louis Cardinals and were amazed to see some of the speed the pitchers were throwing (98 mph was the highest I saw). The scouts were from all over, White Sox, Brewers, Pirates, Cardinals, and a 6 year old scout for the Yankees (you can see him taking some notes in the bottome left corner of the last picture next to him was his partner who was scouting the college girls)!! There were a few more but we weren't sure where they were from. Anyhow, it was a fun day at the ball game. Hope everyone enjoyed there weekend.
Love from all of us down in NC!!
P.S. We have to take over family support for Eric next weekend. He's playing over at UNC stay tuned for more Deacon coverage here on your local blog site ;-)
P.P.S. Also note there are three new posts today.

Kites, Beach, Sun!!!

It sure felt like summer this weekend. Saturday we all headed out to a kite flying competition. That picture of the Spiderman kite is Owen's. We didn't stick around for the competition we all decided it was hot enough to head to the beach. So we rushed home got our suits and sand toys and headed for the beach at Jordan Lake. We stayed there until about 5:00 and then came home and enjoyed another summerlike evening. It was a great fun filled day!! We are wearing these boys out!!!

Party!!!

Well, we went to a high school Lacrosse game (Cary vs. Apex) Friday night we had a wild party and campfire. The boys had a blast and slept REALLY good. We had a great

night!

Sore Nipples??

They sell these nipple shields down here, a one of kind. Can't find them anywhere outside of North Carolina. If anyone is in need we'll take orders and ship them for free!!
Here are a few pics from the weekend and yesterday. We visited the history museum in Raleigh over the weekend and there are some more miscellaneous pics for your viewing pleasure. Hey, they actually had a Lions jersey at the museum!!
Again, if you have sore nipples we can help cure 'em! ("that's what she said!")
Have fun!!

Author's Night

Tonight we had a special night at Owen's school. We were invited to come into his classroom and Owen read to us a book that he wrote and illustrated himself! He also gave us a tour of his classroom. Owen's book was about a tooth that would not come out so they tied the tooth to a tree and they pulled the string and the tooth "popped" out. It was a great story with great illustrations. He is doing wonderful at school and we are so proud of him. As you can see Justin feels right at home in the classroom and he has no problem using the phone there!!
Hope ya'll are havin a good week!!

The Catch Of The Day....

....and apparently the only catch! The guys went fishing today on Jordan Lake the scenery was great but the bites were few. They all came home sunburnt on their necks and faces!!! The boys and I enjoyed a picnic by the pond, played at the park for a bit, and played outside at home. I think the boys were still exhausted from our visit to the lake yesterday (all the boys!). We had a great weekend and loved seeing more family!! The weather this week is calling for a high near 80's!!! I'm so excited.

Well, have a wonderful week!

Love,

Shaun, Jamie, Owen, Justin, Uncle Brian, Ben, and Aaron

P.S. I added some pics from yesterday. The fishing ones are from today.

Spring has Sprung!!!!

Hi Ya'll,

We have Uncle Brian, Ben, and Aaron visiting this weekend. Today was about 70 and sunny. We spent the day at Jordan Lake playing on the beach and then we went fishing!!! It was a perfect spring day and a lot of the flowers have bloomed and trees have their buds. The guys are going out on the lake in the morning to try their luck at fishing again! We are having fun and Owen and Justin are getting better and better at their jobs as tour guides. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!! Don't forget to set your clocks forward tonight.

A few of my favorite things.....

....a day at the beach (especially in March!). Today was an absolutely beautiful day! The weather was great! Owen had a birthday party this morning for a friend from school and had a blast. When we got home we headed out for lunch and then over to Jordan Lake. We spent the majority of the day at Jordan Lake just playing on the beach and at the park. We came home and bbq'd ;-). The boys are having a blast and starting to get the hang of showing everyone our new surroundings. Tomorrow is supposed to be much cooler so we may just do some sightseeing by car and relax. It should be fun!!!

Until next time,

Shaun, Jamie, Owen, Justin, Grandma Jo, Grandma, and Grandpa

(You may notice less pics of Owen this weekend. He hasn't been a fan of the camera.)
