Just another day at the lake!

Well, it has been a fun Holiday weekend here. On Saturday we wend to a neighborhood cook out. The boys had a good time and played into the wee hours of the night. Yesterday we went out on a friends boat. We spent the whole day out on the water and then went over there house to cook out in the evening. We had a perfect day to be out on the water. We did some swimming, some tubing, some wake boarding and some riding around. We took a long ride and got to see alot of the lake we never saw before, including the dam. The lake is huge and it is beautiful. It is pretty nice to have it only 10 minutes away, considering that when we decided to move here we didn't even know it existed. As you can see I tried my hand at some wake boarding. This 33 year old dude still has it. After 4 failed attempts, swallowing 2 gallons of lake water, and an enima, I finally got up on the board. It was pretty fun. I feel a little rough today, it really works some muscles I never use. Check out the video below.
'Til next time...

  1. Sounds like another great weekend. Seems like we're always saying that......Glad the boys are staying busy and having loads of fun.....but Shaun probably couldn't wait to post this blog !!!!!!!! but lets see the first four attempts they are probably a lot more fun to watch.....good job but now you know what it feels like to get older....lol....it's not the activity that kills you, it's the day after and the day after that....Enjoy,,Hugs & Kisses, love, Gramma & Grampa

  2. I was thinking the same about rather seeing the 4 failed attempts. Noticed the one handed technique too. That's nice to have a friend with a boat especially since the lake is so close. We had family over on Sunday and Lindsay was in town, I'm sure Melissa will catch Jamie up on the bachlorette party, I was surprised that LInds was home around 2am. We had great weather here all weekend too. Miss you guys, only about 3 weeks until we get to see ya' all.
