Sunday - we headed out to Winston-Salem to see Shaun's second cousin pitch for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. He pitched the first 6 innings, unfortunately they lost 3-2 against NC State. We sat next to a bunch of scouts. Owen and I were admiring one of the scouts World Series Ring from the St. Louis Cardinals and were amazed to see some of the speed the pitchers were throwing (98 mph was the highest I saw). The scouts were from all over, White Sox, Brewers, Pirates, Cardinals, and a 6 year old scout for the Yankees (you can see him taking some notes in the bottome left corner of the last picture next to him was his partner who was scouting the college girls)!! There were a few more but we weren't sure where they were from. Anyhow, it was a fun day at the ball game. Hope everyone enjoyed there weekend.
Love from all of us down in NC!!
P.S. We have to take over family support for Eric next weekend. He's playing over at UNC stay tuned for more Deacon coverage here on your local blog site ;-)
P.P.S. Also note there are three new posts today.
Looks like a hot day at the old ballpark.......Hope you have all the babes scouted out for July, we can invite them to the pool party.............(don't tell Gramma). Hope you had a fun time today.........Hugs & Kisses,...Love, Gramma & Grampa
ReplyDeleteYou can see the Livernois in Shauns cousin Eric. Looks like you guys really did have a fun weekend. It still seems like everyone is on a vacation.....~Love to everyone~ MOM
ReplyDeleteNC doesn't have anything on MI when it comes to weather, it was 81 today. That is cool that you are able to see Eric pitch and I agree with Donna I bet those boys will have white hair by September especially Justin. Have you invested in sunblock stock yet. I saw on the news today that Charlotte area had 1 out of 4 houses in foreclosure, I thought NC was the place to move. But I guess its better than 1 out of 2 in MI.
