Erin Go Braugh!

Erin Go Braugh! I’m not sure what that means, but I know it’s something Irish and has something to do with St. Pat’s Day. Anyway, we went to the Raleigh St. Patty’s Day parade today. Yeah, I know it’s a little late, but it got cancelled last week because we had 4 days of continuous rain. It was a fun parade and after there was a big festival at the park. Also, after the parade, 3 guys came down skydiving. Check out the video. It was pretty cool. We have never seen that and they came in way faster than it looks on the video. It was quite windy and we thought they were going to crash.

Bittersweet!

Well, we had our first and last hockey playoff game tonight. We gave it a good shot, but still came up short. We lost a hard fought game 6-4. It was a great season and both Owen & I had a ton of fun (although I am ready for a break). After the game we had a pizza party. The boys were crazy and had alot of fun.

Wipe Out!

As you can see, Owen had a gnarly wipe out on his scooter on Sunday. It's shaping up to be a nasty scab. Of course, he screamed his head off and is milking every minute. Seriously, it is pretty bad, he may have to sit out his last regular season hockey game tomorrow. Also, Justin finally lost his front tooth. The thing has been just hanging there for weeks, but he wouldn't let us pull it out.

Mad Skilz!

Last night Owen enter a skills competition for roller hockey. He was up against some tough competition in the 8 & under age group. Most of the players he was up against play travel hockey. He competed in 4 categories: Fastest skater, hardest shot, best aim, and a shoot out. He gave it his all in all 4 events and we are super proud of him. He registered a blazing 21 mph in the hardest shot contest. The highlight was the best aim contest. Owen tied for 1st in the first round hitting 2 targets out of six shots. He and one of his teammates had to go to a 2nd round to determine the winner. He ended up losing the 2nd round, but came in 2nd overall in the best aim. He was awarded a medal for 2nd place and wears it proud. As you can see, Justin is just being his crazy self. We are hibernating today waiting for the winter storm to get here. It was 72 on Friday and now we are supposed to get 2-6 inches of snow tonight, then we are supposed to be back in the 70’s by the weekend.
