A House Divided

Well, it has been a busy week down here after the holiday. We have had a great week with fantastic weather. On Thursday night we went to Owen's school for his music program. Each grade sang a song and at the end the whole school sang a song together with hand gestures and all. Owen looked like Napoleon Dynamite and the helping hands club. Today was a gorgeous day and Justin spent some time at the park with his friend Connor. This evening we went and had dinner outside and went to the UNC vs. NC State baseball game. UNC's baseball stadium is being refurbished so they are playing there home games at the USA Baseball stadium in Cary. The facility is great and we had a great time watching the game. Owen roots for NC State & Justin for UNC. That should make things interesting in our house as they grow up. Last but not least, Jamie has been helping out in Owen's class with a small group of the students (which includes Owen). Over the past couple weeks their assignment was to develop an invention. The came up with the Petmarine. It is a submarine for your pet. It's sheer genius. Today they did a commercial for the product for their whole class. I wasn't there, but Jamie says they really sold it. He is really excited about it. They are now developing some accesories for the product. We are taking preorders at a price of $35 if anyone is intersted. They are sure to go fast.

Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter everyone!!! We hear it is a cold and snowy Easter in Michigan this year. We don't feel too bad for everyone there, we are all nursing our sunburns.

We have had a fun couple days with our Easter visitor, Lindsay. We have been having some great weather and showing Lindsay around. On Thursday we went to the museum, on Friday to Jordan Lake, and yesterday we spent some time on the UNC campus, got a bite to eat and went to a Lacrosse game. As you can see from the video, the boys had an exciting morning. Today we are just going to have a relaxing Easter at home. Have a very happy Easter!!!

Spring in NC, Gotta Love It!!

We have received a few emails from our family in MI sharing the view of all the snow. We thought we would update the blog with some pictures of our weather, hehe.. Hope these pictures get you excited for spring and keep you warm until at least May. These pictures were all taking in our yard! Now Shaun complains of having to cut the grass in March, I reminded him that he could be shoveling instead!!

February '08

Well, here is our February summed up. As you can see, we went hiking, bowling, to the zoo, did some goofing around and we were busy with the boy's sports. Justin finished basketball and had a great season. He really loved it and showed tremendous improvement. He is very proud of his medal. He can't wait until next year. Owen had his final hockey practice last Tuesday (he is # 2 in gray on the video). He also can't wait until next year. They are both looking forward to the upcoming baseball season that will be starting in about 1 month. We are looking forward to the warm up in March.
