Lovin Life!

What a beautiful day in Apex, North Carolina! Owen finished off his winning baseball season. He had a great offensive day going 4 for 4 and really hitting the ball well. His defense was also extaordinary. He played pitcher and 3rd. He had alot of action at pitcher and had a couple of nice plays on some hard hit ground balls, he made some great scoops, threw to first, and got 2 force outs (the crowd went wild). We then headed over to Lake Johnson in Raleigh and rented a jon boat and went around the lake and took in the beautiful scenery. After that, we headed to downtown Durham for the Durham Rising festival to enjoy some live music. We finished off the day with a dip in the pool. Needless to say we are lovin life!!!

Goofin Around!

Hey Ya'll,

Just sharin some pics of the boys goofin around. Pictures 1, 2, and 3 we were on the porch watching a thunderstorm at night and they were being silly. Pics 4 and 5 was movie night at the Koka Booth. Our friends and their little boy, Connor (Justin's little buddy) went with us. The feature film was Charlotte's Web. We all had a great time. Definitely enjoying summer!

Different Strokes!

Well, after some on again off again thunderstorms Charleston Village held their first swim meet with star swimmer #3 Owen L! Here are some pics from the meet. He swam backstroke and breast stroke. He did a GREAT job and had a lot of fun. We weren't aware of what a time commitment swimming is. Owen is having fun but after an almost 5 hour long swim meet we were all exhausted. Things are going great and we are enjoying the summer break, we basically live down by the pool!

Hot & Humid!

Broadcasting live from Apex, NC where it has been a hot & humid couple of days. Last night we headed up to the Brightleaf District in Durham and walked around and then had dinner at Satisfaction Grill. After dinner we headed over to the American Tobacco District to check out the free Blues concert. We had alot of fun, but we got pretty hot. We headed home for an evening dip in the pool.

This mornings main event was the big ball game in the Apex Jaycee Leauge with the much anticipated match up between M3 Designs and Danny's BBQ. The standout of the game was M3's Owen Livernois. Wearing # 2, Livernois spent his defensive role playing 3rd base and short stop. He made several key defensive plays that helped his team clinch the victory. Of course, without his offensive contribution, M3 would have not been able to hold on for the win. Livernois was just shy of hitting the cycle. He had a single, a double, and a triple. Since the game was only 3 innings, he really didn't have a chance to hit the cycle. All the fans agreed if he would have made it up to bat the 4th time, the cycle was all but a guarantee. After the game we grabbed some breakfast and headed to a new park, Cary North. It was a fun park, with much to do for everyone. After sweating out a few pounds we came back to relax in the a/c. We are now getting ready to head down the pool for the pool party. Should be fun, they will have a dj & pizza. The kids can't wait.

Summer Fun!!

Today was Owen's last day of Kindergarten!!!! He is so excited to be moving on to 1st grade. I can't believe it already. We had a great kick off to his summer break. The boys did a little swimming at the pool, then we picked up some dinner and headed over to movie night at the Kokabooth featuring Happy Feet. It was a great night!!!

Also, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Eric Niesen being pick up in the third round draft by the New York Mets. I know you all have seen the pic before but thought I'd post it again and show the boys pictured with a future professional baseball player (maybe future hall of famer?)..CONGRATS again Eric (if you ever see this post:-)
