1 - 2 - 3 - Strikes you're out!!!

What a Saturday we had!!! Owen Livernois, #31, playing 2ND base and third base had his first t-ball game this morning, bright and early. He got the first out of the season! He made a great snag at 2nd base and hustled to throw the ball to first for the force out! We have an action shot of his first out, it came out a little blurry but you can still get the jist of it. He had a great time! He looks so darn handsome in his little baseball uniform!!

Later on in the day we went to a birthday party for one of Owen's buddies at the Durham Bulls. We had a blast! The boys got Durham Bulls hats, they got to parade on the field, and got a picture with Thee Wool E. Bull! They had so much fun. What a great ballpark and city. This was our first time downtown Durham and we were impressed. They did a great job converting the old Lucky Strike factory into a great place to hang out, it's right by the Durham Bulls stadium and there are bunch of restaurant and bars. Just a really cool place.
Well, it was another great day! If you would like any autographs please send your check or money order made payable to the Owen All Star Club and we will glady send you your very own personalized autograph signed by Owen himself for just three easy installments of $99.95.
Have a GREAT day,
Love,

Nothing like the great outdoors...

Well, another fantastic weekend. Saturday we went on a nature walk at Apex Community Park, we saw a snake eating a frog, tons of turtles, and a SQUIRREL ( I couldn't believe it it was so close to the walking trail, hahaha!). We went to a Relay for Life down in Fuquay Varina. Justin got a pet dog (as you can see in the picture ) and Shaun and I got to try out surfin', can you tell I got implants? That sore nipple ointment has more than one benefit! We came home and had a campfire and Shaun and I saw the most amazing shooting star. I can't even begin to explain the beauty of it, it was great! Today we went to Jordan Lake to bask in the sun and play in the lake. So another fun in the sun weekend. Hope all is well back in MI!
Love,
S, J, O, J!

The Magic Bus!

Well - As you can see from the pictures Owen is now riding the bus to and from school. He is loving it! Today was his first day riding the bus, and of course being his mom, I wanted to wait at the bus stop with him but he requested that I go home (he went so far as to call me grandmama so the kids wouldn't think his "mommy" was there with him). It's ok, I was able to laugh it off, really I'll be okay (sniff sniff). He also made a point to tell me not to stand on the corner and wait for his bus that he would walk right home after being dropped off. I said "Well I'll be waiting on the porch for sure!". He is 6 going 16. These photos were snapped quickly and privately I felt like a private investigator (haha). Anyhow, Aunt Sissa even tried to bribe him to let me take his picture and she would send him a dollar, which he laughed at that bribe and said he is already rich and doesn't need "just" a dollar. Yes, he idolizes Donald Trump (gets excited whenever he sees him on tv or on a magazine cover). So my big baby boy isn't a baby anymore. Owen is doing wonderful in school. I had PT conferences this morning and he is really doing well, his math skills are quite impressive to his teacher and we both agreed that math is coming out to be one of his stronger academic skills. He's got a best friend, Aaron, that's in his class, in our neighborhood, and they are on the same track for 1st grade (Aaron also rides the bus with him!). We are going to a birthday party for another one of Owen's buddies next weekend at the Durham Bulls, should be a great time!
At least I have Justin, although yesterday he told me to "Get out of here." when I whispered in his ear in his class asking him if he "had to go potty". Hey, at least I whispered! Where did the time go and what happened to my babies? When Justin did get out of school he still let me snuggle him up. The picture of Justin is in his closet where he loves to retreat. This was how I found him this morning! Justin is doing great in school and has already been to three birthday parties for his friends!! He loves that because he knows he'll get a goody bag! The teachers just love having him as a part of the class. They love to here his knock knock jokes during snack time (I just hope he keeps them clean, "knock knock, whose there? poopoo!") and say "he is a ray of sunshine in our class". He is very excited that he is "almost" 5 and already has a list going for his birthday. He's even woken up a couple times asking "Is today my birthday?" (I think he was even dreaming of it!).
So everything is going great down here and we all seem to be well adjusted to our new surroundings. We still have a lifetime of exploring to do in this beautiful state and are enjoying every bit of our adventures. Hope all is well back in MI (and now PA!) Lindsay, when are you going to start your blog? Until next time....

Love from all of us!

HAPPY EASTER!

It's Saturday morning and I am sitting by the pool updating the Blog while the boys swim. It's a sunny 41 degrees right now. It really isn't bad. Yesterday we just bummed around the hotel and swam most of the day and in the afternoon the wind died down and it was really nice. We goofed around at the beach and flew a kite. After that we headed down to the pier where there were shops, restaurants and an arcade. Then we went to eat and got an ice cream. Today the hotel has an easter egg hunt we are going to and then I think we are going to the aquarium.

Hope everyone has a great Easter!!

A Day At The Beach...

Well, we are into day 3 at Carolina Beach. We are having a blast. Although, the weather is not cooperating. We started out great but we just keep going down hill. It was 80 on Wed, 64 Yesterday, 56 today and 48 tomorrow. What, are we in Michigan?

We have just been bumming around at the beach and the kids have been swimming in the ocean, the outdoor pool and the indoor pool. Yesterday we went into Willmington and toured the U.S.S. Carolina. It was pretty cool. We also walked around downtown Willmington a little bit. Jamie & I could have walked around all day but the kids thought it was "boring". Mom & Dad & Ernie & Donna, you guys would love Willmington. The historic district is huge(I think its like 260 Blocks), right on the Cape Fear River with tons of shops, restaurants, and beautiful historic homes.

Not sure what we are going to do today, might go to the aquarium or go putt putt and of course, the kids are going to want to go swimming. Well, I am going to go watch the waves for a while. The mornings and sunrise here are beautiful. If we don't talk to everyone, Have a great Easter.

Asta la vista.

P.S. The pics are in reverse chronological order. And yes, there are alligators down here!
